BCP Council provides fortnightly bin collections, but there's a limit to what fits in your wheelie bin. Extra bags left beside the bin won't be collected. You can take bagged rubbish to Nuffield Recycling Centre (2.1 miles from Poole), but you'll need to sort it into the right skips — general waste, recycling, wood, metal. It's free for household waste but Vans and trailers require a free permit — apply online at least 5 working days ahead. Loading your car with bin bags isn't ideal, and the smell lingers. For rubbish removal, leave bags at the front door, driveway, or garage. Bin bags, rubble bags, or cardboard boxes — whatever you've got. No need to be home if the bags are accessible. Free parking in most residential areas. Permit zones near Poole Quay and High Street. Sandbanks road can be congested in summer.
