Fridges and freezers contain refrigerant gases that can't just go to landfill — they need specialist WEEE recycling. In Poole, where detached and semi-detached family home properties are typical across Parkstone, Branksome and Canford Cliffs, getting a fridge out of the kitchen and into a van isn't something most people can do alone. We collect from your kitchen, load it safely, and take it to a WEEE-compliant recycling centre where the gas is properly extracted and materials recovered. Established family area with high owner-occupancy. Canford Cliffs and Sandbanks attract higher-value clearances. Hamworthy and Oakdale have more modest housing stock. Whether you're upgrading your kitchen or clearing a property, we'll have your old fridge gone within the hour.
While we're there: add a washing machine (£50), dishwasher (£45), or bags of rubbish (£12/bag)

Your fridge + call-out = £99 total. A half load is £179 — just £80 more to fill half the van.
BCP Council will collect a fridge as part of their bulky waste service for £37.50 for up to 3 items. But the wait is 2–3 weeks, and items must be left at the kerbside by 6:30am on collection day. no access to the property. online booking only. That means dragging a heavy fridge to your front boundary yourself — not ideal for something that weighs 50-80kg.

You can take a fridge to Nuffield Recycling Centre (2.1 miles from Poole), but you'll need a way to transport it — fridges don't fit in most car boots. If you use a van or trailer, you'll need a permit. Vans and trailers require a free permit — apply online at least 5 working days ahead. The WEEE bay at the tip requires you to lift the fridge into the container yourself. A TipRun collection means we do all the heavy lifting, right from your kitchen.
Generally good access. Some Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs properties have gated driveways. Hamworthy has some narrow lanes near the quay. For fridge removal, please defrost the fridge the night before if possible and unplug it from the wall. If you have an American-style fridge with a water line, please turn off the water supply before we arrive. Free parking in most residential areas. Permit zones near Poole Quay and High Street. Sandbanks road can be congested in summer.
