Wardrobes, desks, shelving units, cabinets — when it's time for old furniture to go, getting it out of the house is the hard part. In Poole, detached and semi-detached family home often mean navigating narrow hallways and doorways across Parkstone, Branksome and Canford Cliffs. We disassemble simple flat-pack items and carry everything out for you. Established family area with high owner-occupancy. Canford Cliffs and Sandbanks attract higher-value clearances. Hamworthy and Oakdale have more modest housing stock. We regularly help with bedroom clear-outs, office furniture swaps, and whole-room refreshes. If the furniture is in good condition, we'll donate it to local charities rather than sending it to waste.
Clearing a room? Add a sofa (£65), mattress (£40), or bags of rubbish (£12/bag) while the van's there
Better value
Your furniture + call-out = £84 total. A half load is £179 — just £95 more to clear the whole room.
BCP Council's bulky waste service covers furniture at £37.50 for up to 3 items. But each item counts separately — a wardrobe, desk, and bookcase would be three items. Items must be left at the kerbside by 6:30am on collection day. No access to the property. Online booking only. You'll wait 2–3 weeks and need to move everything to the kerbside yourself.

Nuffield Recycling Centre accepts furniture (2.1 miles from Poole). You'll need to disassemble large items to fit in your vehicle, and a van or trailer requires a permit. Vans and trailers require a free permit — apply online at least 5 working days ahead. For most wardrobes and large items, professional collection is more practical than multiple car trips.
Generally good access. Some Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs properties have gated driveways. Hamworthy has some narrow lanes near the quay. For furniture removal, please empty wardrobes, drawers, and shelves before we arrive — we're collecting the furniture, not the contents. Free parking in most residential areas. Permit zones near Poole Quay and High Street. Sandbanks road can be congested in summer.
