You can take bagged rubbish to Millhams Recycling Centre (3.2 miles from Bournemouth), but you'll need to sort it into the right skips — general waste, recycling, wood, metal. It's free for household waste but Van/trailer permit required (free, apply online). Loading your car with bin bags isn't ideal, and the smell lingers. We sort everything at the depot. Recyclables are separated and sent to recycling facilities. The rest goes to licensed waste transfer stations. We recycle as much as possible.
