When a washing machine breaks or you're upgrading your kitchen appliances, the old ones need to go somewhere. In Bournemouth, across Boscombe, Winton and Charminster, we collect washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, and cookers from your kitchen or utility room. All appliances are taken to WEEE-compliant recycling centres where metals, plastics, and components are properly sorted and recycled. Edwardian and Victorian semi-detached properties in Bournemouth often have tight utility rooms or narrow kitchen doorways — we're used to manoeuvring heavy appliances through tricky spaces. Mix of students near the university and retirees along the East Cliff and Southbourne. High turnover rental market in Boscombe and Winton.
While we're there: add a fridge (£50), dryer (£45), or bags of rubbish (£12/bag)

Your appliance + call-out = £99 total. A half load is £179 — just £80 more to fill half the van.
BCP Council will collect appliances as bulky waste for £37.50 for up to 3 items. The wait is 2–3 weeks, and you'll need to move the appliance to your property boundary. For a washing machine that weighs 70-80kg, that's a serious ask. TipRun collects from your kitchen — you don't lift a finger.

Millhams Recycling Centre has a WEEE recycling bay (3.2 miles from Bournemouth). But getting a washing machine or cooker there means loading it into a van — they're too heavy and awkward for a car boot. You'll need to lift it into the WEEE container yourself. Van/trailer permit required (free, apply online). Save your back and book a collection instead.
Lots of flats above shops on Old Christchurch Road and in Boscombe. Many converted Victorian houses with narrow stairwells. Westbourne properties often have rear lane access. For appliance removal, please unplug the item and turn off the water supply (for washing machines and dishwashers). We don't do plumbing or gas disconnections — gas cookers must be disconnected by a Gas Safe engineer first. Resident permit zones across BH1–BH3 and parts of Winton. Pay-and-display near the town centre. Most suburban streets have free on-street parking.
“Booked online at 9am, sofa was gone by lunch. Brilliant service.”

Yes, but it must be disconnected by a Gas Safe registered engineer first. We can't disconnect gas appliances. Electric cookers just need unplugging from the wall.
Please turn off the water supply and unplug it from the wall. We don't do plumbing work, but the disconnection is usually just turning two valves behind the machine.
All appliances collected in Bournemouth go to WEEE-compliant recycling centres. Metals, plastics, motors, and circuit boards are separated and recycled properly.
