BCP Council provides fortnightly bin collections, but there's a limit to what fits in your wheelie bin. Extra bags left beside the bin won't be collected. You can take bagged rubbish to Millhams Recycling Centre (1.5 miles from Christchurch), but you'll need to sort it into the right skips — general waste, recycling, wood, metal. It's free for household waste but Van/trailer permit required (free, apply online). Loading your car with bin bags isn't ideal, and the smell lingers. Many bungalows with single-level access. Some Highcliffe properties have steep driveways. Mudeford Quay area has narrow access roads. For rubbish removal, leave bags at the front door, driveway, or garage. Bin bags, rubble bags, or cardboard boxes — whatever you've got. No need to be home if the bags are accessible. Free parking on most residential streets. Town centre has pay-and-display. Highcliffe and Mudeford can be tight in summer.
