BCP Bulky Waste Collection

Information verified January 2025

BCP Council Bulky Waste Service

BCP Council offers a bulky waste collection service for large household items that won't fit in your wheelie bin. Here's everything you need to know.

How Much Does It Cost?

£37.50 for up to 3 items. Each booking covers up to 3 bulky items. If you have more than 3 items, you'll need to make multiple bookings.

How Long Is the Wait?

2–3 weeks from booking to collection. During busy periods (spring cleaning season, post-Christmas), waits can stretch to 4 weeks.

How to Book

Online only at bcpcouncil.gov.uk. You'll need your address, a description of the items, and payment by card. Phone bookings are not available for bulky waste.

What Counts as Bulky Waste?

Sofas, mattresses, wardrobes, fridges, washing machines, cookers, and other large household items. Garden furniture and exercise equipment also qualify.

What They Won't Take

Garden waste, rubble, building materials, hazardous waste (paint, chemicals), car parts, or any commercial/trade waste. These need specialist disposal.

Collection Rules

Items must be left at the kerbside (property boundary) by 6:30am on collection day. The crew will not enter your property. You are responsible for getting items to the boundary — even a heavy sofa or fridge.

Don't want to wait 3 weeks?

TipRun collects same-day from inside your home. Sofas from £65.
