What We Take

What items do you collect?

Almost everything: sofas, mattresses, fridges, washing machines, TVs, furniture, garden waste, rubble, paint, rubbish bags, and more. The only things we don't take are asbestos and certain hazardous chemicals.

Do you take garden waste?

Yes — branches, hedge cuttings, grass, weeds, and bagged soil. From £80 per load.

Do you take rubble and building waste?

Yes — bricks, concrete, tiles, plaster, plasterboard, timber. From £100. Plasterboard goes to specialist recycling.

Yes — paint tins, varnish, wood stain, spray cans. These are hazardous waste and we handle them at licensed facilities. From £75.

Do you take asbestos?

No — asbestos requires specialist licensed removal. Contact a specialist asbestos removal company.

Can I mix different types of waste?

Yes — mix furniture, bags, appliances, garden waste in the same load. We sort everything at our depot.

On the Day

Do I need to be home?

Yes, usually — items need to be accessible and we need to confirm the price with you. If items are outside and pre-agreed, we can collect without you.

How long does it take?

Single items: 15-20 minutes. Half load: 30-45 minutes. Full load: 45-90 minutes. House clearances: 4-8 hours.

Will you text before arriving?

Yes — we text 30 minutes before arrival so you know exactly when to expect us.

Do you collect from inside the house?

Yes — ground floor collection from any room is included. We carry items out, through hallways, and load them onto the van.

Will you damage my walls or floors?

We take care, but moving large items through narrow spaces always carries some risk. We're fully insured if anything does get damaged.

Recycling & Environment

What happens to my waste?

Over 85% of what we collect is recycled, reused, or donated. We sort everything at our depot — metals, wood, textiles, and electronics all go to specialist recycling. Reusable items go to local charities.

Do you donate to charity?

Yes — furniture and items in good condition go to local charities in Dorset. We work with BHF, Salvation Army, and smaller local organisations.

Are you a licensed waste carrier?

Yes — we're registered with the Environment Agency. Licence number CBDU540532. You can verify this on the public register.

Do you fly-tip?

Absolutely not. All waste goes to licensed facilities. We can provide waste transfer notes for commercial collections.

Do you provide waste transfer notes?

Yes — for commercial and business waste. All commercial collections come with proper documentation for your compliance records.

Coverage & Areas

What areas do you cover?

All of Dorset — Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne, Ferndown, Broadstone, Wareham, Ringwood, Blandford, Dorchester, Weymouth, Swanage, Bridport, and Sherborne. If you have a BH or DT postcode, we can come to you.

Do you charge more for further areas?

No — the same prices apply across our coverage area. Whether you're in Poole or Sherborne, the price is the same for the same service.

What postcodes do you cover?

All BH postcodes (BH1-BH24) and all DT postcodes (DT1-DT11). This covers the entire Dorset area.

Council Alternatives

How does TipRun compare to council bulky waste?

Council is cheaper (£30-37.50) but you wait 2-4 weeks, must carry items to the kerbside, and they only take a few items at a time. TipRun is same-day, from inside your home, and we take everything.

What does the council charge for bulky waste?

BCP Council: £37.50 for up to 3 items. Dorset Council: £30 for the first item, £10 per additional (max 6). Both require kerbside placement.

Does the council take garden waste?

Only through the brown bin subscription (BCP: £56/year, Dorset: £62/year). Their bulky waste service doesn't cover garden waste.

How long is the council bulky waste wait?

BCP: 2-3 weeks. Dorset Council: up to 4 weeks. During busy periods, waits can be even longer.

Skip Hire Alternatives

Is TipRun cheaper than a skip?

For one-off loads, usually yes or comparable. TipRun full load (£220) vs mini skip (£180-250). But we do the loading, we're there same-day, and no skip sits on your drive.

Do I need a road permit for TipRun?

No — we park, load, and leave. No permit needed. Skips on the road need a council road permit.

Can you take items a skip can't?

Yes — fridges, TVs, mattresses, paint, and hazardous items that most skip companies refuse.
