BCP Council doesn't collect rubble through their standard bulky waste service. Construction waste is your responsibility. The tip limits rubble to 3 bags per visit, meaning a kitchen refit could take 5-6 trips. A skip hire company will drop a skip for £200-350 but needs a permit if it's on the road. Nuffield Recycling Centre (2.1 miles from Poole) accepts rubble, but limits you to 3 bags per visit. For any serious amount of construction waste, you'll need multiple trips — and rubble is incredibly heavy, so you'll be loading and unloading 25kg bags each time. Plasterboard must go in a separate designated area. Vans and trailers require a free permit — apply online at least 5 working days ahead. We collect the lot in one visit.
Generally good access. Some Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs properties have gated driveways. Hamworthy has some narrow lanes near the quay. For rubble removal, please have the rubble accessible on the driveway or in the front garden. We can't collect from inside the house for loose rubble — bag it in rubble sacks or builder's bags first. Free parking in most residential areas. Permit zones near Poole Quay and High Street. Sandbanks road can be congested in summer.
