Call-out fee: £49 — covers our team travelling to you. Item prices are on top.
Old TVs — especially heavy CRTs and large flat-screens — are classified as WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) and need specialist recycling. You can't put them in your normal bins. In Blandford, from Blandford Forum, Blandford St Mary and Bryanston, we collect TVs and monitors of any type and size from your home. CRT, LCD, LED, plasma — they all contain materials that need proper handling. Georgian townhouses and modern estates properties in the area mean wall-mounted TVs, entertainment setups, and old screens stored in garages are all common finds during clear-outs. Historic Georgian market town. Mix of retirees and families. The military presence at Blandford Camp adds a transient population element.
While we're there: add the TV stand (£35), a small appliance (£45), or bags of rubbish (£12/bag)

Your TV + call-out = £79 total. A half load is £179 — just £100 more to clear the whole room.
Dorset Council includes TVs in their bulky waste service at £30 for 1 item, £10 per additional item (max 6). You'll wait up to 4 weeks and need to leave it at the kerbside. For large flat-screens this is manageable, but old CRT TVs are extremely heavy for their size. TipRun collects from inside your home.

Blandford Recycling Centre (1.5 miles from Blandford) has a WEEE bay for electronics. TVs are accepted, but larger screens can be awkward to transport in a car. Old CRT TVs are particularly heavy — a 32-inch CRT weighs around 40kg. Dorset address proof required. If you've got a TV plus other items to clear, a TipRun collection makes more sense than multiple tip trips.
Town centre has narrow historic streets. Newer estates on the edge have good access. Some rural properties around Pimperne have single-track lanes. For TV disposal, please unplug the TV and remove any wall brackets if wall-mounted (we collect the TV, not the bracket). Remotes, cables, and small accessories can go with the TV at no extra charge. Town centre has pay-and-display. Residential areas have driveways or free on-street parking. Bryanston has private estate roads.
“They drove out to Blandford for a single fridge. No extra charge for the distance.”
