Blandford Recycling Centre (1.5 miles from Blandford) accepts mattresses, but getting one there is the challenge. You'll need to strap it to a roof rack or use a van — and most recycling centres won't let you dump a mattress in general waste; there's a specific bay you need to carry it to. Dorset address proof required. For most people, a doorstep collection is easier and worth the cost.
Town centre has narrow historic streets. Newer estates on the edge have good access. Some rural properties around Pimperne have single-track lanes. For mattress removal, please strip the bedding before we arrive.
