Old paint tins accumulate in garages and sheds — half-used tins from decorating projects that pile up over the years. In Bournemouth, across Boscombe, Winton and Charminster, paint disposal is a common headache because liquid paint can't go in your household bins or be poured down the drain. It's classified as hazardous waste. We collect paint tins, varnish, wood stain, and spray cans from your property and take them to licensed hazardous waste processing facilities. Edwardian and Victorian semi-detached properties in Bournemouth often have garages and sheds with years of accumulated tins. Mix of students near the university and retirees along the East Cliff and Southbourne. High turnover rental market in Boscombe and Winton.
Doing a clearout? A half load is £179 — fill half the van with anything.
BCP Council doesn't collect paint through their bulky waste service — it's hazardous waste. Your options are the recycling centre (small quantities only) or a specialist hazardous waste collection which can take weeks to arrange. TipRun handles paint disposal as a standard collection.

Millhams Recycling Centre (3.2 miles from Bournemouth) accepts paint in small quantities. There's usually a designated hazardous waste area where you can leave a few tins at a time. But if you've got 20+ tins from a garage clear-out, they may turn you away or limit what you can leave. Van/trailer permit required (free, apply online). We take any reasonable quantity in one visit.
Lots of flats above shops on Old Christchurch Road and in Boscombe. Many converted Victorian houses with narrow stairwells. Westbourne properties often have rear lane access. For paint disposal, please have the tins accessible — garage, shed, or driveway. Make sure lids are on to prevent spills during transport. We take full, part-used, or dried-out tins. Resident permit zones across BH1–BH3 and parts of Winton. Pay-and-display near the town centre. Most suburban streets have free on-street parking.
“Booked online at 9am, sofa was gone by lunch. Brilliant service.”
