Dorchester Recycling Centre is 7.5 miles from central Weymouth. You can take a sofa there, but you'll need a van or trailer — and that means applying for a free permit at least 5 working days in advance. Saturday mornings are the busiest time, so expect queues. Dorset address proof required. Most people find it easier to book a TipRun collection — we pick up from your door and save you the trip.
Victorian terraces near the seafront have narrow stairways and limited front access. Modern estates in Chickerell and Littlemoor have good access. For sofa removal specifically, please make sure we can get the sofa through your front door or have it outside ready. If the sofa came in through the door, it'll come out the same way. Seafront and town centre have pay-and-display and resident permits. Residential areas mostly free. Summer parking can be very limited.
