Call-out fee: £49 — covers our team travelling to you. Item prices are on top.
Old mattresses are one of the most awkward items to get rid of. They're heavy, floppy, and won't fit in your car. In Wareham, whether you're in Sandford, Stoborough and Holton Heath, mattress removal is one of our most popular services. With mix of older stone cottages and modern estates common here, there's often a narrow staircase or tight hallway between the bedroom and the front door. We handle the manoeuvring — you just show us which mattress needs to go. Historic market town at the gateway to the Isle of Purbeck. Mix of retirees and commuters. Seasonal population boost from tourism. That means we're regularly collecting mattresses from property upgrades, rental turnovers, and downsizers alike. Add a bed frame for £25 if the whole lot needs to go.
While the van's there: add a bed frame (£35), a second mattress (£50), or bags of rubbish (£12/bag)
Better value
Your mattress + call-out = £89 total. A half load is £179 — just £90 more to clear the whole bedroom.

Wareham Recycling Centre (1.2 miles from Wareham) accepts mattresses, but getting one there is the challenge. You'll need to strap it to a roof rack or use a van — and most recycling centres won't let you dump a mattress in general waste; there's a specific bay you need to carry it to. Dorset address proof required. For most people, a doorstep collection is easier and worth the cost.
Town centre has narrow medieval streets. Newer estates on the outskirts have good access. Upton and Lytchett Matravers have standard suburban access. For mattress removal, please strip the bedding before we arrive. If the mattress is going from an upstairs room, let us know when booking so we can plan accordingly — ground floor is included in the price, upstairs may cost a little extra.
From £40. Same-day collection available.
Three options: Dorset Council bulky waste (£30 for 1 item, £10 per additional item (max 6), up to 4 weeks wait, kerbside only), take it to Wareham Recycling Centre yourself, or book TipRun from £40 for same-day collection from your room.
