Online booking only. Items must be at the property boundary. Maximum 6 items per booking. Try getting a king-size mattress through a narrow hallway and out the front door on your own.

Wimborne Recycling Centre (3.5 miles from Ferndown) accepts mattresses, but getting one there is the challenge. You'll need to strap it to a roof rack or use a van — and most recycling centres won't let you dump a mattress in general waste; there's a specific bay you need to carry it to. Proof of Dorset address required. For most people, a doorstep collection is easier and worth the cost.

For mattress removal, please strip the bedding before we arrive.
