Getting Rid of Garden Waste Without a Brown Bin in Poole, Bournemouth and Dorset

Information verified September 2026

Your options

The council garden waste bin

A bin is good value for regular mowing. It won't take a big cut-back, a felled tree or a hedge.

Take it to the tip for free

Both councils take garden waste free at their recycling centres. You need a car or van you don't mind filling with cuttings, and BCP needs a permit for vans.

Compost what you can

Grass, leaves and soft prunings rot down well. Woody branches take years unless they are shredded.

Have it collected

After a big clear-out we load everything from the garden or the drive, branches and all. Runs start from £49 and a quarter van load is from £99. Send a photo for a price before we load.

Council prices checked in 2026-09.

Too much for the brown bin?

We load it from the garden. Send a photo for a price.

Need help with this disposal?

Leave your number and postcode. We'll call back with the quickest legal collection option and a price range.

No payment needed — we'll only use this to call you back about your TipRun quote.
