Asbestos Disposal in Poole, Bournemouth and Dorset: Where to Take It

Information verified September 2026

First: be careful

Asbestos is only dangerous when it is damaged and the fibres get into the air. If you think something contains asbestos, don't break, sand or drill it. For anything more than a small amount of cement-bonded sheet, or if it is crumbly, use a licensed asbestos contractor.

BCP Council tips

Bonded asbestos is accepted at all three BCP recycling centres, double-bagged. It costs £10.50 per bag or £21 per sheet.

Dorset Council tips

Cement-bonded asbestos only, pre-booked, at Blandford, Wareham and Weymouth. Sheets must be no bigger than 6ft x 4ft and securely wrapped.

We don't take asbestos

TipRun doesn't collect asbestos. It needs specialist handling. We are happy to clear everything else around it once it has gone.

Council details checked in 2026-09. Always check the council site before you go.

Clearing the rest of the job?

Once the asbestos has gone, we clear everything else. Send a photo for a price.
